Over the past three decades, Astrana Health’s passion for helping physicians heal patients has remained constant. Today, we are one of the largest integrated care management companies and platforms in the U.S.

1992

On August 17, 1992, Allied Physicians of California (APC) was incorporated with the purpose of arranging healthcare services as an independent physician association (IPA).

1994

Network Medical Management (NMM) was formed as a management service organization to provide administrative and support services to medical companies and IPAs. Management services covered billing, collection, accounting, administrative assistance, quality assurance, marketing, compliance and education.

1997

In 1997, NMM enters into an initial management and administrative service agreement (MSA) with APC.

2005

ApolloMed’s co-CEOs Dr. Kenneth Sim and Dr. Thomas Lam acquired a majority interest in both NMM and APC.

2010

Concourse Diagnostic Surgery Center, LLC, an ambulatory surgery center, was formed in March 2010. The surgical center utilizes some of the most advanced equipment in eastern Los Angeles County and San Gabriel Valley.

2012

APC acquired a minority interest in LaSalle Medical Associates (LMA). LMA operates four neighborhood medical centers treating children, adults and seniors in San Bernardino County.

ApolloMed formed its subsidiary ApolloMed ACO, which was selected by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to participate as an Accountable Care Organization (ACO) under the Affordable Care Act.

2016

NMM merged with APCN-ACO and Allied Physicians ACO, LLC, resulting in both becoming wholly-owned subsidiaries of NMM.

2017

APA ACO (jointly owned by NMM and AMM) was approved to participate in the CMS-sponsored Next Generation Accountable Care Organization (NGACO) model as of January 2017.

NMM merged with ApolloMed in December 2017 to form one of the nation’s largest value-based healthcare companies. With the completion of this transaction, ApolloMed’s shares were approved for listing on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “AMEH”.

2019

APC acquired Alpha Care Medical Group in May 2019 and Accountable Health Care IPA in August 2019, expanding ApolloMed’s presence into additional markets in California.

ApolloMed and APC completed a series of transactions in September 2019 to form one of the nation’s largest integrated care management companies and platforms.

2020

ApolloMed launched its self-developed, proprietary technology platform, which combines the Company’s years of clinical expertise and experience in value-based healthcare with the latest software engineering, machine learning and artificial intelligence method to address key pain points in healthcare delivery and managed care.

2021

ApolloMed was added to the S&P SmallCap 600 index in June 2021.

2022

ApolloMed acquired Access Primary Care Medical Group and Jade Health Care Medical Group in Northern California.

ApolloMed acquired Valley Oaks Medical Group, expanding our presence into Texas and Nevada.

2023

ApolloMed acquired All American Medical Group (AAMG) and For Your Benefit, Inc. (FYB), gaining a Restricted Knox-Keene License in California.

2024

ApolloMed rebrands as Astrana Health.
